I think the title is pretty self-explanatory? As some of you may have noticed I quite like the old warbirds so I wanted to have a thread where other enthusiasts could post both real life pics / stories and IF pics too. If it gets some followers then also post request for warbirds here from the #features category so we can all see and add what we think. Hopefully this will also add some weight to the argument for some more classic planes so post pics of your favourites and lets open it up for discussions. I’ve added my request to overhaul the spit so feel free to add any thoughts you have. Would be good to get a group of us together and maybe do some group flights too.

Spitfire overhaul

Apologies if this has been asked before but I honestly couldn’t find anything baring a 3d cockpit (which would pretty cool to be fair). Thanks for the support on the subject though and I really hope AR_AR is correct and it will be reworked this year. I love flying the spit and she is so manoeuvrable, a great aircraft for acrobatics and once she’s got her new look please, please, please let it be the spirt of Kent!!!! she will easily be my favourite on IF.

Avro Vulcan XH558 and XL321

i think it would be great to have the Vulcan in the sim because it's the last season flying :( also it would be nice to have a British warbird jet and to pay respect to the war it served I also think it would be a good idea to add the familiar XH558 in the camoflauge livery and XL321 in the white livery as it shows off how awesome they were back in the day It would also be AMAMZING to hear the Vulcans exclusive roar that everyone but the birds are going to miss ;) Imagine doing a formation fligh…

Hello @Paul, yes this is exactly the sort of thing we are looking for. lets try and get the Vulcan in to the sim, if this was added what a classic and i dont think i’d fly alot else!

RAAF Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII Z-PQ "Grey Nurse"

This Spitfire was the regular mount of Flight Lieutenant Ted Sly. When Bruce Watson took command over 457th Squadron at the end of 1944, he wanted the squadron to adopt a common emblem and theme for all aircraft. Ted suggested the adoption of the name “Grey Nurse” and the shark´s mouth emblem for 457 Squadron´s Spitfires. A vote was taken and his idea was adopted. Lockheed P-38G-13-LO "Miss Virginia"

“Miss Virginia” was the personal aircraft of Robert Petit of the 70th Fighter Squadron, 349th Fighter Group. On April 18th, 1943, it was borrowed by Lieutenant Rex Barber for a special mission. The task ot this mission was destroying the airplane that carried Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the most important person of the Japanese Armed Forces and architect of the Pearl Harbor attack. RAF Eurofighter Typhoon 75 years of the Battle of Britain

For the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the RAF painted and coded one if their Typhoons to resemble the Hawker Hurricane of Flight Lieutenant James Nicolson, who was the only pilot to receive the Victoria Cross (awarded for extreme valour against the enemy). Please consider this aircraft. Not only because it will fit @AR_AR's callsign but I can use it to confuse people that it's a UFO. Perfect to the upcoming Area 51. Indeed, these would go great with Vulcan as they were also used for mid air re fueling during Operation Black Buck
