VVTS ATC problems

I was inbound to VVTS with about 10 other aircraft but I tried to keep distance between other aircraft due to the rush for the ILS cone during the controller change. Because of other aircraft cutting in line, I was told to go-around. In the go-around I was told by VVTS tower twice “ill call your base” so I stayed at pattern altitude and continued downwind. When the ILS cone was clear, instead of being told to turn base I was instructed to contact approach instead. Approach gave me vectors for the approach and handed me over to tower, however tower instructed me to go around again on final due to them telling an aircraft to lineup in front of me. In the end I exited the flight after the second go-around because I have work IRL and I didn’t have time to rejoin the back of the approach queue.

I’m disappointed that I could not finish the flight due to tower giving me 2 go-arounds that both could have been avoided.

I’m sorry to hear that. Your best bet would be to pm your controller or to contact @moderators to have this settled.

Tower was very busy right now. He may not been able to handle it all I was just there and its crazy. Next time just use the ATC directory that Chris made.

Hello James I understand your issue as I had flown into VVTS earlier the day … Well it happens during Controller changes but if an approach was prese t very less likely …
Sometimes it gets too difficult for controller to handle too many on final and may Instruct a go around…
With two runways in use I hope both approcah and tower did their maximum to regulate the flow
But sometimes things wont go as planned and tower might have to give you a G/A
It is just to keep conflicts away …
Sometimes you have go around for right spacing to come and mostly you won’t be put on a hold for mor3e than 30 mins maximum
