I wish infinite flight had a simple way to calculate your v speeds because I also use RFS and that sim does calculate your v speeds
Hello,
I would strongly recommend a third-party application called In-Flight Assistant that has a bunch of amazing features including V-Speeds. I’ve linked the In-Flight Assistant topic below:
There is a third party app, In Flight Assistant. Does cost $4.99 though
As mentioned above, In Flight Assistant is a solid tool that can really enhance your IF experience (well, if you’re using it correctly), but as is the case with everything, it’s certainly not perfect, and here’s a couple of things to be aware of when using its inbuilt V-speed calculator:
What’s important to note here is that, due to how IFA does not account for the airport and runway length, the generated V1 speed is not necessarily accurate - as it is the maximum speed where a rejected takeoff (RTO) can be safely executed. Just a heads up in case you are planning to do a few V1 cuts on an airliner to simulate an engine failure, etc.
What’s perhaps of even more significance as a direct consequence to the above, is that there is no indication of whether a certain flap setting is adequate and/or the optimal choice for a runway (when factoring in tail/obstacle clearance and fuel burn) - meaning that you may be using more fuel than you need to by selecting more flaps or on the other hand, not using enough flaps for a given runway length or using a configuration that offers too much drag for a safe climb gradient to adequately clear terrain especially if it’s hot - but not know it at the same time since the app will continue to run the numbers for you like that.
I use an actual vspeed calculator and it works but I found it weird that there’s not one built into the simulator
Feel free to vote and show your support for the feature request linked below:
I use this website http://perfcalc.pradz.de/
the FPLtoIF website also does it:
Oh wow I’ve never seen that tool before! Do you know if there’s any way of calculating what thrust setting is required in terms of N1? It’s obviously just told me I can use flex 68, but in IF that of course doesn’t mean much.
Simbrief also gives you V-speeds on certain aircraft as long you have the JBU ofp layout
On top of v1 vr v2 speeds we need don’t forget we also ne vapp and vref speeds
I would also like to know this as it would allow us to perform proper flex takeoffs in thr a320

Cool I’ll check it out
