vRIAT 2023 - The return of vRIAT

Welcome back to RAF Fairford!

After how successful the 2022 edition was, we decided to relaunch vRIAT once again! But this time, we have made some changes to make the event run more smoothly. This includes:

  • A flying schedule for all three days
  • New themes, revealed below
  • Multiple demo teams
  • The flying display extended by 1 hour each day, flying now runs to 1600Z
  • And a co-organiser @Skyler_Cooper!

So lets get straight into the fun!

Primary theme
100 Years of the Italian Air Force

  • This theme was chosen as it represnts a significant milestone in real life aviation, and there are plenty of aircraft in the sim that the Italians operate/operated

Secondary Theme
Fast and Furious - the new FA/18

  • This theme was chosen as the FA/18 is Infinite Flights newest Aircraft and has a variety of operators. Remeber, the NOTAM from last year still applies, you can represent any country, so long as they operate the aircraft in real life.

These are coming back to vRIAT 2023, and will be on expert. The dates are as follows

It’s update time:

Looks like @Hector_Wilson is currently planning a few demos that involve multiple aircraft! These will be a Friday exclusive however, so don’t miss out!

✈️ Takeoff Thursday ✈️

Today we are pleased to confirm that me and @Hector_Wilson and @Flakess are planning a QRA demo with a C130 and two F16s! This will replicate the Austrian QRA demo and shouldn’t be missed! This is not on the schedule yet as it’s in the final stages of planning

We are also soon expecting some IFAE-GAF support at the show soon, so look out 👀
