I had to make a new topic since the other one was uneditable. Anyways, I will be taking the Radar ATC Practical Test soon and would like some help from the IFC!
Please send me feedback. I really do appreciate it. PM me at @VortexVolt or message me on Discord VortexVolt
No need to check in or have a flight plan. Request ILS, VIS, Radar Vectors, or GPS approaches.
If you want to fly a flight plan, file an ILS, GPS, or VIS flight plan, and request the respective approach. If you want to trick me, you can request an approach that isn’t the approach you filed.
Note: You must have a GPS FPL to fly a GPS approach.
If I tell you to continue as filed (CAF), continue on your FPL.
Follow all vectors
If you’re under 1000’ separation with terrain, report it as a terrain bust in feedback
if you’re under 3NM and 1000’ with another aircraft, report a aircraft separation bust in feedback.
Once you land you can touch and go and request another approach.
Initial vectors were good, but take note of the terrain around SKMD, there’s a hill where you turned me (though we often don’t count busts in the initial climb)
Unnecessary speed commands, N1 was still 20nm away when I was turning DW
Nice base turn
Perfect intercept
2nd appr: VIS
Good initial vectors
Initially good base turn, but after the correction it got a bit away from the airport (I think that would’ve gone well!)
Good RAIS and clearance
3rd appr: ILS
Good initial vectors
Good base turn
Good clearance and handoff
4th appr: RV
Good initial vectors
Good proactivity with speed commands
Fitting me in the half-cone might have worked, but it’s better to play safe than risk a bust
No major issues, good job on my half. The practical does get overwhelming at times so make sure to check ur frequency frequently. I also saw a very nice slot with PR and N1.
Only thing i’ll say is that you should’ve turned me earlier for base to avoid the narrow DW. Once you create an issue, another can arise. But this session looked alot better than yesterday.
