VOR flight into Gilmore County Airport

Since I discovered my love for GA, I’ve flown from my local airport KFMY (Page Field) in the Cessna 172 on the following flight plan using only VOR’s (shoutout to @epaga for his IF Insturments app!) KFMY → KSRQ → KBOW → KORL → KOMN → KSGJ → KCRG → KSSI → KCHS.

After those flights I was feeling pretty confident using SkyVector and VOR’s to navigate, so I decided to do a flight that was a little longer without relying on any kind of in-game map. I took off from Charleston Air Force Base runway 33 on Expert server with a full tank of fuel and tuned into ALD inbound, after crossing ALD I tuned into IRQ inbound and a short time later crossed IRQ. Outbound from Colliers (IRQ) at heading 291º I picked up Athens (AHN) and was on the last leg. My final turn outbound from Athens heading 311º keeping KGVL on my right my destination airport finally lay ahead. Making left traffic I put her down in a decent crosswind on runway 21 elevation 1486 ft. The following are a few caps of the planning, flight path, and flight:

Where and/or how did you generate the VOR chart? Very nice!

The VOR Chart is from SkyVector.com, you can make a flight plan as long as you sign up (it’s free to create an account). You can enter your departure and destination airport as well as aircraft. From there you can drag the pink line (your flight plan) to the VOR’s that have been added in IF.

I like that types of routes, such as VFR and Flight Followings in general.
