Virtual airline question

For the virtual airline I wanna join one but is there an application for it since I wanna do multiple and I don’t know if I’m allowed. Also if you join a virtual airline are you still allowed to fly other airlines? Or if there’s no application do you just like choose what VA you wanna do and put it in your VA section on your profile I’m not sure.

Hello!

Yes, it is allowed to join several virtual airlines. It is also permitted for fly for several and most if not all have an application to fill out to join. After you do that their recruiter will take it from there. Most VAs require you to be grade 3 or higher and need to have a good idea about how many violations you’ve ever gotten. In my opinion its worth joining virtual airlines (VAs).

Usually a virtual airline will have codeshare partners. That is basically Virtual airlines that partnered with eaachother, think of it as One World and Star Alliance.

You’re allowed to join multiple VAs if that’s the question :)

Hey Simon!👋

You can join as many VA’s as you like. Just make sure to apply to that virtual airline! Some VA’s do have entrance exams, whilst others don’t.

You can view a full list of active virtual airlines within infinite flight, by tapping on the link

I hope this answers your question!

Cheers

Thanks! Also when you applied and they accepted you do you have to keep your VA tag on for each flight or are you allowed to like disable it until you do a flight with your VA airline? Sorry if I’m asking to much questions

What if there not a code share partner or alliance are you still allowed to fly the other airline? Sorry if I’m asking to much questions

In sum of all other comments:

  • You can join as many VAs as you would like, as long as you can meet the activity requirements for each one, though some don’t have them or are very lenient.
  • With VAs you can still fly on your own. Being in the VA however, just allows you to log your flights with the VA.
  • you don’t always have to the fly with the VA: many people only do a flight for their VA once a month, while others fly their VA for every flight they do.
  • Depends on the airline, but usually you choose a callsign and then add VA at the end. Most airlines require you to change your callsign if you aren’t actively flying with the VA

I hoped this helped! VAs are the best way to get involved with the community. I would recommend checking out the link Jack put above, that will help you find your VA, or you can look in the VA category!

No worries at all and yes, you do need to use their callsign in order for that flight to be counted.
