Virgin Atlantic B747 Special Livery

The big picture: Virgin Atlantic unveils Star Wars Millennium Falcon livery

Virgin Atlantic has unveiled a special Star Wars livery on one of its B747 aircraft, in celebration of the new Galaxy’s Edge experience at Walt Disney Work Resort in Florida.

The jumbo features an image of the iconic Millennium Falcon, and will go into service on the carrier’s Gatwick-Orlando route from today. The aircraft has also been renamed the ‘The Falcon’.

Virgin said that the decal used to cover the aircraft is 44 metres long, and took three weeks to print, using 14,000 millimetres of ink.

In my opinion, it does looks pretty good. Do you like the livery?

I love it. I’m going on a Virgin Atlantic 747 from MCO-LGW next summer. I hope I can get on this

Amazing! Wish this bird was around a bit longer though.

OMG - that looks stunning and would definitely impress my former school housemaster - who is obsessed with Star Wars

Sad we don’t get too many special livery on IF 😂 but yeah, maybe in the future there will be a death star livery. 🌚

The main reason is because they are copyrighted and cost a lot to license. Would be cool to see some in the future though.

how is this ripping off, the airline is just promoting the movie. ANA can’t be the only one limited to promoting movies.

Well United too.
