Virgin Atlantic Announces Flights To Delhi, Mumbai, Islamabad, And Lahore
Virgin Atlantic Airways, based in London Heathrow has announced flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Islamabad, And Lahore. The twist, these flights are all from Manchester airport. The services will go on sale on October 20, and the first flight will take place on December 20, just in time for the holiday season. It will fly three times weekly to Mumbai, and two times weekly to Delhi. They will be operating the Boeing 787 aircraft on that route.
“We’re delighted to launch new flying from our home in the north in Manchester. India boasts the largest foreign-born population in the UK and we’re anticipating that post-Covid-19, the demand to travel home to visit loved ones will increase,” Virgin Atlantic Chief Commercial Officer Juha Jarvinen said.
“We are excited to welcome passengers on board Virgin Atlantic services from Delhi and Mumbai to Manchester for the very first time. Manchester is our home in the north of England and is positioned as a fantastic hub for onward travel,” said Alex McEwan, Country Manager for India at Virgin Atlantic.
You can really tell that Virgin Atlantic is really excited about launching the services. This complements the service that was just announced a few weeks ago, from Manchester to Islamabad, and Heathrow to Islamabad and Lahore. Those services will also take place with the Boeing 787 aircraft.
