Is it true that if you have 6 level 2 and 3 violations, you’re banned from Expert mode for 1 year?

Not necessarily for a full year - it would be until whenever the oldest of those 6 violations becomes a year old.
Example - let’s just say you have just acquired your 6th Level 2/3 violation today but your oldest of those 6 was on September 13th, 2024. You would regain access to Expert on September 13th, 2025.
Its relatively easy to avoid getting Level 2/3 violation though - just follow all ATC instructions, don’t do anything dumb and you’ll be fine.

Perfect, because my subscription renews tomorrow – just on point to delete the game, since ATC seem to think they can hand out violations arbitrarily.
I’m used to being guided by Approach and then handed over to Tower at the end. While I was waiting and only got the message ‘start approach’, I didn’t know exactly what I was supposed to do. Out of fear of getting a violation, I continued in the same direction (to the right of the runway, since I was coming from the right) – and still got a violation. Most of the ATCs are telling again

If you think you’ve been unfairly given a violation - you can always appeal it provided its in the last 7 days.
