Violations when I wasn't there.

So today I came home from school to find my aircraft had crashed and I had racked up 6 violations. While at school there is nothing I could do about this. I’m guessing my plane ran out of fuel. I am aware that violations cannot be removed but since I couldn’t do anything about it, this can’t be fair.

What should I do? I will probably just have to wait it out, but I really hate having so many violations against my name.

Like you said there is really nothing you can do. You will just have to wait it out I know it can be annoying I’ll never see the joys of expert in my lifetime but they will go away

Rip me. I really do think they should remove violations for events that were out of your control.

You do run the risk of getting violations if you leave your device for a long period of time. Although it’s annoying, you can’t remove them and they won’t be removed. Unfortunately

I know it does. But it can be a valuable lesson and learning curve

Hmmmmm. Sure once your starting out, but It just gets frustrating later on.

to all of us this has happened sometime, for the next keep in mind that you have enough fuel and have a wifi network and make sure to lower the brightness so you do not consume battery if you make a long flight :)

Yup it happens too much to me lol. And its usually not my fault…

that’s true happy landings :)

Take a look at this. This happens to me and a whole lot of others and the only thing to do is accept responsibility for it.

My question is, why couldn’t you do anything about it? A successful flight begins well before you get to the airplane. Did you plan your flight properly? Did you load extra fuel in case you would be gone longer than anticipated? Or perhaps you’re not certain that you can make it back to your flight in the time window you need to. So would it be better to not fly at all?

These violations are completely in your control. I fly long hauls almost daily and leave the device unattended for most of cruise. I always make certain when I can be back and plan the flight around that time so I’m present before reaching TOD.

6 violations is a classic sign of overspeed. This may be due to running out of fuel and nose diving. The system will automatically generate 6 violations (max) before booting you from the server.

I think its fairly safe to leave a long haul flight as long as you’ve done the following;

  1. Ensured you have enough fuel

  2. Have reached your TOD

  3. Are cruising well below the max speed

Your long haul flight is coming to an end upon reaching TOD 😉

Just to clarify - what I meant was never leave your aircraft unattended when ascending or descending. Only once in level flight

If I’d get a penny for each post such as this one, I’d be a wealthy man.
If I’d add the speed violations I got like this myself, I’d be filthy rich.

Be strong man. See ya in week.

This is why if I fly a flight I won’t monitor most of the time, I fly casual. Else if I can monitor then I fly expert.
