In the Expert server, can you get a violation for not contacting ATC while sleeping? Can people do overnight flights in the expert server without getting violations?
I have done overnight flights and been fine usually they check and if ur away they leave u alone

It’s done automatically yes.
Controllers can see you away after few minutes without touching anything.
Wait to be on cruise alt tho.
Pilots are required to attend their flight while climbing or descending or manoevering

If you’ve been away from your device for 2+ minutes, and at cruise(not step climbing), you won’t get reported
Just don’t turn on vnav while asleep or you’ll start descending and overspeed if you over sleep… easy way of getting 3 L1 violations!
On the weekends I do long haul flights while I sleep and wake up about an hour or so before I’m due to land
Never had ATC contact me while away

lol, he just told you he was going on vacation, there are over 600 other ATC members, no need to bother him on his break. :)
