I agree while seeing FLLs long haul network get scaled down sucks, we should still be grateful for the amount of overall international flights at the airport. Most airports which aren’t the primary airports of a metro area only see domestic traffic maybe Canada/Mexico flights
FLL sees (besides Mexico and Canada) Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Bahamas, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Sint Maarten, Trinidad and Tobago, Israel (although it’s ending) and not to mention FLL serves the most destinations in Colombia out of ANY US airport even nearby Miami.
FLL is much more developed compared to most “secondary” airports in major metro areas

First time I’ve actually put pictures of my flights in here in a while.. but I just had to after this flight! It was the first time I flew out during one of the many DFW rush hours, along with flying along many storms during the departure and in flight!
I flew Copa Airlines for the first time and uhh it seems to me like they can’t butter,I flew in to Panama from Austin and they slammed the poor 738 to the ground then I returned to Austin today and they descended to late so the landing was so fast that the plane floated and bounced….
Here’s the video if you want to see the landing I
was talking about when arriving into MPTO
