LAC BIRD LIVERY - NEW VIETNAM AIRLINES SPECIAL LIVERY
Vietnam Airlines has officially introduced a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner - VN-A868 with a special livery featuring the chim Lac (Lac bird) – a sacred symbol of the Vietnamese culture that is deeply connected to the nation’s origins and embodies aspirations for growth and longevity. The move came in celebration of the national flag carrier’s 30th founding anniversary and ahead of the Liberation Day (April 30th) and International Workers’ Day (May 1st) holiday.
WHAT IS LAC BIRD?
Chim Lạc. Last but not least, the national bird of Vietnam is an interesting one. The Chim Lạc is a mythical bird that is believed to be a guardian angel in Vietnamese culture, carrying ancient people on its back,
The Lac bird is not only an artistic image but also a cultural declaration, expressing a hope for a prosperous future and the breakthrough and longevity of the Vietnamese people in the flow of globalisation. The livery serves as both a cultural symbol and an affirmation of Vietnam’s desires for growth, integration, and cultural identity assertion in the global skies.
