I just did it on my mac, you have to right click the picture and save it to your desktop, then go to your preferences and chose the image from the desktop to be added.

Download the GIF and upload it as your profile background.

You must do it on computer:
The way you add a GIF, you must go to your created or found online GIF & save the image to a file. Once this is done, you must go to your settings and add it as a picture it should startup and work from than on. :)
I did it on my iPad. Does anyone want to see?
