Victorville Southern California Logistics Airport

Howdy! Yesterday, I visited the “Victorville Southern California Logistics Airport”. I believe this Airport is used as an Aircraft Graveyard. But, I also saw a United 737-800, that had the new livery, and it was in perfect shape! (Didn’t take a picture of this one, sorry) Sadly, none of these Planes are still flying. The 747 Engine number 1 is missing, just like engine 2 and 3. Sorry, the pictures are not that great. I did not have a lot of time, and there was a fence around them, so… Other than that, here you have 'em:

China Airlines Cargo Boeing 747.

(Qantas) Boeing 717, and Norwegian 787.

China Southern Boeing 737, another 737, and a Allegiant Boeing 737!(?) I thought they only have Airbus!

For some of these Planes, I wonder how they got here! A China Southern 737, in California!? How!?
Qantas 717, how?

Thank you!

Allegiant does indeed have b737 MAX aircraft on order!

They do? I didn’t know that!

But, why is one of them here, the plane graveyard?

Idk why it’s there for sure but it could be them pushing back its entry into service, and they just don’t have anywhere else to put it

Also the conditions there are amazing for storing aircraft

That makes sense! IKR?

I think some of them might also be repaired here.

Great pics. Yes Victorville is used as mostly a aircraft graveyard. There can be other planes there tho

I’m curious about that Allegiant Max 8200. I wonder if that’s a different one than N810MG that shows in FR24 that it hasn’t left Seattle.

To put context into that Max, Allegiant ordered a ton of them consisting of the Max 8-200 and Max 7 because they couldn’t get the Neo due to its enormous backlog

Are you sure it was a -800 and not a MAX 8? VCV is not a United maintenance location, and there are no UAL -800s down there at the moment.

There’s actually a pair of Allegiant MAX’s over in VCV right now. Their 3rd and 4th examples of the type, N812NV and N813NV to be specific. 812 was last flying around down there on a normal test flight on 6/5, while 813 flew down there, presumably for painting, on 5/31.

Ah, that makes more sense. I didn’t even realize that 2 other Max aircraft have already been set up for Allegiant

WHAT!?!? (Clear)

Because they were all built here?

There’s actually another one as well, the second one off the line for them, N811NV, which I was about to write has not taken its first flight despite rolling out a month and a half ago, but by sheer coincidence it’s on its first flight as I write this as BOE402 being flown down to VCV, supposedly for paint as well.

Oh yes, and not just a few of them. firm orders and options combined it’s like enough to double their fleet size or replace the a320 family they have

Stopping in islands along the way I guess 🤷‍♂️
