Are you struggling to find a solid route to fly on Infinite Flight? Do you miss the pure, no-nonsense utility of FPLtoIF? Then I have something for you.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been building IF Flightdeck—a modern, lightweight dispatch dashboard designed entirely around the Infinite Flight ecosystem. I wanted to create a tool that doesn’t require a SimBrief account, only gives you the essentials, and gives you exactly what you need to load up and fly.
Here is a look at what is under the hood:
Core Features
-
IF-Calibrated Aircraft Database: The fuel calculations are tuned specifically to Infinite Flight’s physics engine. From the A350 and 777 down to the C208 and F-22, the app calculates your required fuel (in LBS) based on the simulator’s actual performance metrics.
-
Custom Route Generation: Enter your Departure and Arrival ICAO codes, select your aircraft, and let the app generate your briefing.
-
Real-World Route Integration: With the help of the Flight Plan Database API, the app instantly pulls real-world, community-vetted flight plans. It fetches actual jetways, ocean tracks, SIDs, and STARs, spitting out a perfectly formatted, space-separated waypoint string you can copy and paste directly into the simulator.
-
Smart Livery Suggestions: No more spawning at London Heathrow in an American Airlines A380. The app automatically cross-references a massive database of real-world airline hubs with your departure or arrival airport to recommend a realistic airline and tail number—guaranteed only to select liveries that physically exist in-game for that specific aircraft.
-
Interactive Vector Map: A custom, dark-mode interactive map that draws mathematically accurate great-circle flight paths. It plots your departure, arrival, and all intermediate waypoints, automatically zooming to frame your specific route. It even flags 3D airports, so you know what to expect when you spawn in.
As this is the initial version of the app, many things may still be broken, so your feedback is invaluable
- Takeoff Calculations: During internal testing, it has come to my attention that for some aircraft—especially older legacy planes like the B747 family or the DC-10/MD-11—the generator currently provides inaccurate takeoff flaps and V-speeds. Please ignore these specific performance numbers for those airframes for now while I fine-tune the legacy aerodynamics data behind the scenes to make them more realistic!
- 3D marker: I implemented a marker to highlight 3D airports in-game, but for some reason, it appears on non-3D airports. Again, please ignore this while I populate the 3d airport database.
Enjoy!
