Updating to Global Issue iPad 2

I have an iPad 2. It might Seem like an old machine, but it is a warrior. Unfortunately, It can only cope with IOS 9.3.5. I checked settings and there was no option to Update it. Later, I tried to Update IF to the newer global release but it didn’t allow me to do that. It said: “This version requires IOS 9.3.5 or later, …”

Why does this happen?

Thank you in advance,
Daniil

Thank you for contacting support! Unfortunately the iPad 2 does not fit the parameters for downloading the update. You would need a device with iOS 10 or later and 64 bit. See the device list link.

Our minimum device requirements have recently changed due to the rapidly evolving features of Infinite Flight which require greater device performance and specifications to smoothly operate. To ensure the best possible experience we recommend that a device has at least 1GB+ of internal device memory (RAM). Our mission will be to continually optimize performance, however the bar must be raised with future features in mind.

iOS Requirements:

  • 64 bit device
  • iOS 10 operating system or later
  • Click here to see full list of iOS devices supported at this time

Android Requirements:

  • Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system or later
  • Device must support OpenGL ES 3.0

Note: Due to large variety of Android devices there is not a specific list of supported devices. Customers with devices that are not supported at this time will receive a message on the Google PlayStore when attempting to download the latest update for Infinite Flight to advise that the device in use is not supported.

We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your response. Do you know why it said that the requirement was IOS 9.3.5? Isn’t it IOS 10?

The requirement is iOS 10. Not 9.3.5.

The requirements are noted in my reply. Any iOS previous to iOS10 isn’t supported.
