Updated KLM Boeing 787-9

Link to photo

In early 2025, KLM began making a small changes to their livery on the 787-9. These small change lowers the dark blue line from the tip of the nose to below it, making it resemble what is seen on one of KLM’s newest aircraft, the A321neo. They also moved the Skyteam and AirFrance-KLM logos to the back of the aircraft.

For reference, here are the 2 designs next to each other:

At the time of making this Features topic, PH-BHE and PH-BHF have been spotted with this new updated livery.

So, if you would like to see this updated livery make its way into Infinite Flight to complement the future KLM A321neo (if confirmed), please vote for it!

Times change bud. Either you get with it or get left behind.

I choose the latter. I don’t feel it is or will ever be right to fly a Southwest aircraft to Australia :kissing_heart:

I can see the reason for it - it means the entire nose cone is one shade of blue which means it’s less of a hassle if it needs replacing, rather than having it be part-blue/part-white.

Voted and we need it if we get the 787-9 rework. Thanks for the summon @nabilk11_777flyer.

Compared with Korean, this actually looks fine💀

They also moved AFKLM and Skyteam logos to the back of the aircraft (like Air France), and the “Royal Dutch Airlines” font seems to be a much more generic one. Interestingly, the changes on the E2 fleet seem to be mostly limited to repositioning the previously mentioned logos.

The 787-9 has won against the 767! Lets start building up those votes!

Uh oh…

Uuhhh. Did KLM just do a Korean Air?

Ikr why is everybody doing this now

What. The. Hell. Is. That?!

I doesn’t look official, yet the titles on the fuselage are bigger and it’s on jetphotos…

Why did they remove the crown :sob:

Good news. This livery is their KLM Asia livery for the 787. Not their mainline livery
