yes, why you need a new app?
if the game engine is the real puzzle of the clue
same here lol
IF is a game released in 2011. So if they make the game with new, up-to-date tools, they can produce better quality, but I respect their choice. They are already working on a big project.
They ramped up their dev team. There are some former community members working at IF now, afaik. For the new engine there work 2 people with priority (thatās what I read somewhere here).
I compare it with other app developers out there. Some of them push an entire game to release. Project Metal is running for about 2-3 years now?!
I absolutely get that building things on an old engine isnāt trivial. I also understand that we already see many things running on PM. But the overhaul of shading, lights and whatnot is related to the render engine takes like ages. And tbh why should I not be unsatisfied, as a paying customer, to see staff posting pictures showing metal workers. Arguable joke. But thatās my point of view. Others may see it differently. Thatās ok for me.
Update on Metal:
Itās being worked on.
As soon as thereās more to share, it will be done through the usual channels.
Like you, we also canāt wait for it to be ready.
So please bear with us a little longer. :)
