A few months back I made my first visit to SJC in nearly a year to finally put some heavy metal in my gallery. I edited the photos about a day after that visit to SJC, but only now looked back to mess around with editing on other photos while I had the free time. At the position I was standing, I was just a few hundred feet over the 30L threshold where aircraft would fly very low over me making for some cool head on shots. Looking back now, this one particular British Airways aircraft came in very low, making for a cool belly shot.
After editing, here’s how the shot turned out.
Looks fake, but all I did was boost reflection detail and add lots of contrast and a special black and white filter. This was so close and crisp, I can actually see the individual grooves in the tires.
Even have the unedited original here.
How close do you think this was from me?
