More votes. The idea is simple: We should have an unlimited amount of votes for each request.
Example I would vote on this but I cant :(

Unfortunately, #features is only for features within the app. I’ve moved this to #meta so you can gather feedback. Votes are set for each trust level.
Ohm…well owww well, I tried.
If this was possible, people could just vote for everything. The purpose of #features is to vote for what you really want, not everything that everyone else wants.
Having unlimited votes will make votes almost meaningless because anyone can just vote for everything they see. By having a limit they can actually take the time and choose the ones they really want and believe should be added.
I rarly vote, most of the future request I see I read carefully but find conflicts and withhold my vote.
That doesn’t change anything. Most people will still vote for ton’s of features.
I believe it’s been said by one of the staff something like this before;
Votes needed to have some sort of value, and by putting a limit on votes that what we have done. This way, we know what the community actually wants, not just what they voted for because they could or because the feature request was formatted well.
Then does there vote ever really matter? It seems they just vote and when they run out they stop voting (not by choice).
P.s do they ever renew?
I agree with @KaiM there people need to be invested, and really want something to drop a vote…
Oh ok. I understand that. I dont agree with it but I do see that logic most certainly. Thank you.
Why can’t we just print out more money? No one else will be poor. If we just go crazy and print out more money, it won’t be as valuable since it’s widely available to all.
Votes here follow the same premise.
Very good point, look at the economy of Zimbabwe for exact proof.
Inflation
LOL oh gosh… ok duly noted
Hmm… If we gave everyone 1 million dollars, but still required them to work, would this fix the worlds leading issues (Poverty, etc.)?
I will agree with others on this one. Unlimited votes just wouldn’t work.
Maybe an extra 5 votes or something would work better?
I wouldnt be opposed to that idea actually :). On a serious note though were I live, we can vote on any request/issue that is put to poll.
Yes, maybe there should be more votes, but where would the money come from in that situation?
Well duh… The money tree. 🙄
We can also use a magnificent invention called a printer.
Money shouldn’t be compared to any vote though. A free opinion should be just that, free and only limited to what’s Just…no restrictions other than that.
The voting system, which I strongly support and am pleased with the limits, makes you think about what you want for the future. If people had unlimited votes, nothing would be prioritized (the goal is to prioritize features).
You can still state your opinion and leave your support for a feature request but you do not necessarily have to vote for it.
Note that votes aren’t the only factor considered when the developers want to implement a new feature. This has been a common misconception with this new system.
