What is this field actually called? Even on Google Maps they call it “Unknown Field”. It is the only airport in the whole simulator that’s called this.
@Nathan would probably know best.
According to AirNav it’s a private field. Might even be a grass field with a windsock.

You pretty much have the ability to name an airport whatever you want. Whoever owns this field was probably trying to confuse people. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The owner may have so much money that after donating money to research he named the airport after a peptide from a horseshoe crab :P
It is a paved field though according to Google Earth.

If that’s the reasoning behind the naming, that is really awesome then. Microbiology is not my forte but I will be starting the course come next semester. Super cool.
It’ll be edited properly in IF once I reach Massachusetts airports again. :)
