Universal "thank you"

New thought: what if the universal “thank you” when on uncontrolled airports was to activate your spoilers then immediately turning them off. Almost like you were waving at the other pilot. Just a thought I believed would be good.

That is a good idea, however, people dont follow it irl

Good point. But I mean as long as people know it means “thank you” than I figure why not. Just gotta spread the word I suppose.

You can do it I guess… I just don’t know if people will understand the message.

On these rare occasions I prefer flashing the landing lights instead

Same here, I flash my landing lights once or twice or my strobe light ones to say things like; “You may go first”, “Thank You”, “You’re Welcome”, etc… I feel like flashing lights is more natural, as that’s what I do when I say thank you to other drivers irl in the nigh when they can’t see me wave thank you to them. Signaling with lights seems to me to be a more universal thing to do, when you can’t visibly with hand gestures show your gratitude.

Lol, that sounds dope

Maybe I’ll do so too, but it’ll probably be better at night.
