United Express CRJ550

Hey everyone! As some of you may now, I’m currently attending Embry-Riddle aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. Today. ExpressJet brought their brand new Bombardier CRJ-550 aircraft. I was able to go inside it and have a look around.
I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of the interior except for the cockpit, but I wanted to share the ones I took nonetheless.

Tis first picture was taken as I first exited the flight-ops building. Look at that plane! 😍

This next picture was taken from one of the seats. Fun fact: the crj550 has 20 less than the crj700.

This last picture is another picture of the body, sporting the brand new blue livery. It was raining, so the background is a little gloomy.

I might be adding another one or two photos later once I see the plane depart later this afternoon. I hope you enjoyed them!

Damn, they didn’t allow you to take pictures of the seats?

No pictures of the seats, as well as the entire main cabin. They were pretty standard, except the seats were purple. This plane also has self-service refreshment stations, as well as a first class section in the front of the plane, which can’t be found on any other regional jet.

What a beauty 😍

Wow amazing photos. It’s a pity that they didn’t let you take pictures of the interior. Just a quick question: you wrote it’s an ExpressJet CRJ550 but on the third picture it says “operated by GoJet Airlines”. Are they the same of if not which airline is it? Also do you know if this is the first CRJ550 built?

United now has three aircraft with the new livery flying

UA’s 2019 is probably my favorite. Or the tulip livery.

Yeah so there were no pictures taken of the interior, and no, all CRJ-550’s are simply CRJ-700’s with a new configuration. Also, just as @Jetcentric said above, yes it does say GoJet in the plane, but everyone that I talked to said ExpressJet, and I was like ‘alright sure’ I guess. 😂

I love United’s new livery on the CRJ, hopefully I will see some of these in Montana soon!

Does anyone know how to identify a CRJ-550 from a CRJ-700 from the outside?

You can’t identify a crj700 from a 550 from the outside…They actually have the same exact body.
Although you can look at the front landing gear door and it will say “CRJ-550” on a 550.
