Inspired by @KTJ_Mitchel, this topic will cover United Airlines and its transformation from the Continental/United Livery to the Evo-Blue (Globe Evolution) Livery.

In this thread, you will be able to see the following:

Mainline Fleet

  • 1,010 aircraft, the largest airline fleet in the world.

Evo-Blue Livery Update

On December 5, 2022, after 15 days in ROW, Dean Baldwin Painting LP completed N677UA’s transformation to Evo-Blue. She departed ROW bound for MIA the same day, where she remained idle at an AAR hangar, presumably for maintenance.

Yesterday, December 14, she was ferried to EWR to resume commercial operations. Her first flight in Evo was from Newark (EWR/KEWR) to London (LHR/EGLL) on December 15.

nice, thanks for making this thread! i think a 752 I’ve been on last year got repainted i hope, the paint was peeling 💀

She’s still registered to BOE, so I won’t be adding her to the list just yet.

If SEA is her place of induction, the title will be transferred to UAL by month’s end.

Ah, here is her page on planespotters too. I see on FR24 it was under a UAL Callsign from BFI-SEA. I guess that’s delivery?

As far as I know, Planespotters determines an aircraft as “delivered” once it leaves the manufacturing/testing facility. However, an aircraft is officially delivered once the title is handled over.

So thats when on Planespotters it says the delivery flight on the page of the plane? I think the title is handled over because its operated a flight under a UA callsign, correct me I’m most likely wrong XD

It may have, but if that’s the case, it won’t be updated until December 16 at 12:00 a.m. EST. The FAA states explicitly, “Data Updated Each Federal Working Day At Midnight.”

Yep! And as soon as that updates, I’ll make the changes here.

Same thing with N47284. She was inducted at LAX today, but her title won’t be (publicly) transferred until tomorrow.

New Delivery

On December 15, 2022, N884UA was delivered to United. She departed Amarillo (AMA/KAMA) bound for IAH, her induction site, operating as UA 2749. Her first revenue flight departed later that afternoon to Austin (AUS/KAUS) as UA 675.
