United Airlines Evo-Blue Livery Tracking Thread

Welcome to the United Airlines Evo-Blue Livery Repaint Thread!

(Aeronautics)

Hello and welcome to the United Airlines Evo-Blue Livery Repaint Thread!

Inspired by @KTJ_Mitchel, this topic will cover United Airlines and its transformation from the Continental/United Livery to the Evo-Blue (Globe Evolution) Livery.

Thread Overview

In this thread, you will be able to see the following:

  • A breakdown of United’s mainline fleet.

  • Mainline aircraft currently in United’s fleet with the Evo-Blue Livery.

  • Mainline aircraft in the paint shop.

  • New aircraft joining the United mainline fleet.

United’s Mainline Fleet

As of January 2023, United’s mainline fleet consists of 872 aircraft, one of the largest airline fleets in the world. Along with this, 711 aircraft are on order and expected to be delivered by 2032.

United’s fleet includes 654 narrow-bodies and 218 wide-bodies (the largest wide-body fleet in North America). Unsurprisingly, UAL has 180 Airbus aircraft while their Boeing fleet nearly quadruples that at an enormous 692 jets.

As of January 2023, 322 aircraft in the United Airlines mainline fleet are in the Evo-Blue Livery, while the rest remain in the Continental/United Livery.

Further information regarding United’s fleet can be found using the link below.

Aircraft with the Evo-Blue Livery

Here is where you can find a complete list of all aircraft in the United Airlines mainline fleet, which now has the new livery on them. Click on the drop-down below to see registrations of the aircraft!

Evo-Blue Livery Update

On December 5, 2022, after 15 days in ROW, Dean Baldwin Painting LP completed N677UA’s transformation to Evo-Blue. She departed ROW bound for MIA the same day, where she remained idle at an AAR hangar, presumably for maintenance.

Yesterday, December 14, she was ferried to EWR to resume commercial operations. Her first flight in Evo was from Newark (EWR/KEWR) to London (LHR/EGLL) on December 15.

cant wait for N415UA to get a repaint…and maybe a deep cleaning too
i flew on her back in mid november and those wings were FIFLTHY

She’s still registered to BOE, so I won’t be adding her to the list just yet.

If SEA is her place of induction, the title will be transferred to UAL by month’s end.

Ah, here is her page on planespotters too. I see on FR24 it was under a UAL Callsign from BFI-SEA. I guess that’s delivery?
https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/boeing-737-max-9-n77544-united-airlines/r7wlj7

As far as I know, Planespotters determines an aircraft as “delivered” once it leaves the manufacturing/testing facility. However, an aircraft is officially delivered once the title is handled over.

So thats when on Planespotters it says the delivery flight on the page of the plane? I think the title is handled over because its operated a flight under a UA callsign, correct me I’m most likely wrong XD

It may have, but if that’s the case, it won’t be updated until December 16 at 12:00 a.m. EST. The FAA states explicitly, “Data Updated Each Federal Working Day At Midnight.”

Ah that makes sense, so the title should be over to UAL tomorrow then

Yep! And as soon as that updates, I’ll make the changes here.

Same thing with N47284. She was inducted at LAX today, but her title won’t be (publicly) transferred until tomorrow.
