Insight!: Well… Looks like United Airline are back again with an incident regarding a mid ocean failure. During United Airlines flight 1175, less than an hour from landing, the engine cover of the aircraft fell off. Well ain’t that a shocker. The aircraft safely made it back but the aircraft took about two hours for repairs until it was finally reserviced. Passengers aboard the aircraft were terrified As the entire thing was on video! (Please look below to view the video. " the pilots safely landed the aircraft at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, taxied to the gate, and the passengers got off the plane as they normally would.
There were 363 passengers and 10 crew members aboard the plane, CNN affiliate KHNL reported."

Quotes:
- “Scariest flight of my life,” passenger Maria Falaschi tweeted.
- “Pratt & Whitney is supporting the authorities in their investigation,” the company said in a statement.
The Flight Details:
The aircraft was a Boeing 777 powered by Pratt & Whitney’s PW4000-112 inch engines. The aircraft currently had 363 passengers aboard the flight from California to Honolulu Hawaii with 10 crew members aboard. “The plane made an emergency landing at around 1:00 p.m.”. Instead of taking a detour to Kauai (which is long enough to land a 777, it still continued inbound …
Aftermath of Crash At PHNL:
Crews working on the engine:
Decending to Honolulu
My Response: In hawaii, we call it “lolo” flying. The pilots knew there was an issue but still continued inbound. I am pleased to know the crash was not indeed fatal as the pilots did successfully fly the aircraft. United is getting unnecessary heat again for the incident when it is a simple engine failure. Everyone survived including the pilots and the aircraft was indeed put back into service. What I think they should’ve did was make an emergency landing in Kauai (depending on their location). In all, the crash wasn’t fatal, but social media is blowing up. This is why we pay attention in flight school!

Closing: Thank you for tuning in, my name is Ryan, lets hope this “engines” shell doesn’t fall off again and instead of hearing “Fly the Friendly Skies” or “It’s time to fly” you’ll hear “Bring a life vest”. My name is Ryan, thanks for tuning in, lets see what you have to say
