United Airlines has announced that they will be resuming EWR service to MHT beginning October 5, 2021!

United Airlines has officially brought back EWR service, and will be flown on a Bombardier CRJ550 aircraft, a first for the airport, and a nice way to see a new aircraft that is basically an RJ700 but with first class and only 50 seats.

This new service will be flown twice daily, both on the CRJ550 aircraft. Along with this new announcement, United is increasing IAD back to 3x Daily as well.

With this new announcement, the airport has mentioned that there is a possibility of new routes with United in the near future.

In March 2019, United dropped EWR service and swapped the route with Washington-Dulles. With Newark back, we now have a route to New York once again.
The only airline to have NY service to Delta, but they left in November 2020, leaving MHT with no direct flights to New York.
