Aaand that’s 4 777 variants in 4 days! Finishing up the family with one of United’s few regularly-scheduled domestic 777-300ER routes, between Honolulu and San Francisco. Due to San Francisco being the hub for United 777-300ER operations and Honolulu being a high-demand destination, it made perfect sense for the airline to schedule it on the route, as well as continuing from Honolulu to Guam, which was previously served non-stop from San Francisco up until a few years ago, as well as from Los Angeles. Today, the big 77W alternates with the airline’s 772s in Honolulu, providing a rare opportunity to fly the backbone of United’s transpacific fleet domestically.
