Uniformity in Aircraft Features ✈️

Overview

Aircraft: Airbus A220 / A320 / A330 / A350 / A380 families

Note: Post made using IF Beta Version

Across the Infinite Flight lineup, a solid core of systems is already implemented consistently — autopilot modes, ground services, electrical systems, and passenger all behave the same regardless of airframe. That consistency is great, and it’s exactly why the gaps stand out.

A side-by-side comparison of every Airbus variant currently in-app shows several cockpit and cabin features that are present on some aircraft and missing on others. The ask here is simple: bring the aircraft that are missing a feature up to par with the ones that already have it, as Infinite Flight is already enhancing the Airbus fleet to the best of their capabilities.

Where the line is inconsistent

Feature Have it Missing it
Captain Window (openable) A330 family, A380 A320 family
FO Window (openable) A330 family, A380 A320 family
Captain Table A220, A330 family A320 family, A350 family, A380
FO Table A220, A330 family A320 family, A350 family, A380
Dynamic ECAM A320 family, A330 family A220, A350 family, A380
In-Cockpit Registration Code Update A220, A330 family A320 family, A350 family, A380
In-Cockpit FMS matching On-Screen FMS A320 family, A330 family A220, A350 family, A380
Taxi Light A350-1000 only Every other Airbus in the app

In-Cockpit FMS matching On-Screen FMS may take time as the ones missing it have completely different FMS, so this can be looked at a much later stage.****

The window/table pattern is the clearest case. The entire A330 family have openable Captain/FO windows and fold-out tables in the cockpit — the A320, and A380 (tables only, for the A380) don’t.

Taxi light is the outlier — right now only the A350-1000 has one modelled, however since it is the latest aircraft this can be expected in the Airbus family, especially with the A321Neo coming.

Suggestions & Observed Bugs

While reviewing feature parity, a few smaller suggestions and existing bugs came up that are worth flagging alongside the uniformity request:

Suggestions – Not just for Airbus but overall Infinite Flight

  • Add the ability to connect the jetbridge to the R1 door
  • Add a “Pull” option in Pushback, right now it can only be achieved via the Auto Pushback
  • Allow choosing between IAS & Mach below FL280 on the AP panel
  • Replace the “No Smoking” sign with “No Portable Device,” matching what’s already used on the A330-800Neo/-900Neo

Observed Bugs (by aircraft)

  • A220-300 — Compass Mode only offers NAV, not ARC
  • A320 family (A318/A319/A320/A321) — Speed Brake Lever in the cockpit moves in sync with the actual speed brake; The Flap Lever doesn’t track flap position/markings; Park Brake Selector is INOP; Registration Code is fixed as PH-JAR; SELCAL Code is fixed as JA-DE
  • A330 family (A330-200/-300/-800Neo/-900Neo) — Flap Lever tracks actual flap deployment/retraction
  • A350 family (A350-900/-1000) — Speed Brake Lever is INOP; Park Brake Selector is INOP; Registration Code tile is missing between the throttle and MFD
  • A380-800 — Registration Code tile is missing between the throttle and MFD

Doing this would make the cockpit experience consistent regardless of which Airbus you’re flying, rather than feature availability depending on which aircraft happened to get it during development.

Will be sharing something similar for the Boeing fleet too- depending on response from community. And yes, the what the A321Neo delivers is not something I am willing to take into account as it is another beast altogether.

Feature comparison based on a full aircraft-by-aircraft review — happy to share the breakdown if anyone wants to double check specific airframes.

This looks like a Features request

Many of those are those are Beta features.

A35K has them :joy:

Thought they were removed, maybe it was just the cockpit dome lights.

Any animation changes likely won’t be done because they probably require model changes. Also, the A220 and A350’s cockpit windows don’t open in real life, so there’s no point in making them open in-game.

About the window- did not know and have edited the post accordingly.

For me it’s “read-only” else would have tagged it appropriately
