Unexpected Stall Warning

So I was doing a flight EGLL-KIAH so after reaching the cruising altitude I left my phone and after maybe 10-15min I hear a stall warning all of a sudden and when I go check I’m rapidly loosing speed in a level flight

Ps: there was no aircraft in front of me

What was your weight and cruising altitude?

Was the level flight your cruising altitude?

If it was maybe you might have forgotten to engage the speed AP just like what @Dimitrios_TA said

Maybe you were too heavy to be at FL400?
(not sure if trim matters)

I believe you should check fr24 flight to see the startimg cruising altitude Because if your weigt is heavier than the assigned cruising altitude then IT loses speed.
Happened to me once.
So the Plane has to gradually increase altitude so in 2 hours ascend 2K feet then so on.

@sonamtseringbhai Its always better to step climb than to climb straight to the final cruising altitude (just alittle tip)

Fl400 was the final altitude assigned by simbrief

This is most likely a pilot error.

Judging from your “FUEL REMAINING”, you seem quite heavy. FL360 is too high. I use Simbrief for my cruise altitudes.

Yeah will try that from now on

might have been too heavy to your flight level,
happened to me once.

When the aircraft can’t maintain either speed or altitude, chances are you’re too high. :)
