Unable to use ATC/Unicom

So I was descending into LAX and tried to contact Tower, but received no response. I was quickly approaching the airport and without much options, was forced to divert to avoid violations. This is the second time this happened, the first occurring around a week ago while approaching Honolulu, luckily it wasn’t as busy as LAX and had no controllers online.

Operating system: iOS 18.1.1

Note: This did happen a couple of days before 24.4.4 hotfix but as far as I know it didn’t mention anything related to this.

Happens to me too. either I tune into a frequency and can’t hear anyone else, or I’m already tuned into a frequency in contact with a controller when I suddenly stop hearing transmissions.
although it is frustrating risking receiving violations every time I’m in controlled airspace, turning Airplane mode on and off again usually fixes it ;-;
Definitely a connection problem
