I am in flight and about to descent to New York JFK, I got a call from the centre but I am unable to tune into the frequency.
I am having the same problem right now… Got a message from Center but really couldn’t find it on my frequency list.
Hi! Just wondering, were you guys just checking in the frequency list? As far as I know, centre frequency has a range of 400NM from the controller’s selected station, it might be why it didn’t show up. One suggestion I have, and I use all the time, is to open the maps and click on the the airport or airspace where the controller is active and there will be a option to tune in. This also allows you to contact them a little earlier! Hope it helps! :))

I have never seen center frequency listed on the airport list… Only GTSA. That’s how I usually tune to Approach frequency. Is it just me? I’m using Google Pixel tablet.
If centre frequency is open, the white borders on the map will light up. You would just need to open maps, click onto any part of the centre airspace (within the white borders) and tune in. Let me know if it works :))
I couldn’t click on the map but Autopilot+ saved me and I rejoined the sim.
This didn’t work for me anymore. I think it used to but around 24.3 or 24.4 this didn’t work anymore but I was always able to tune in through the frequency list.
When this happened to me a few days ago with Jakarta CTR, this helped me, too. So, this is indeed a work around. But this time I was already descending and AP+ couldn’t help me.
In order for you to tune into the center frequency through the map, you need to have the airspace filter selected/on in your map settings. If you turned it off (like I sometimes do to declutter my map), it won’t allow you to click on the map and tune into the frequency.
