I’m having issues adding my VA’s thread to my profile. Here’s a screenshot of the error.
Device: 14 Pro Max. I’m running on the discourse app.
Operating system: IOS 18.0 Developer Beta

Exactly what @Butter575 said… when you see a padlock icon next to a category, it means the category permissions are restricted. Therefore, you can’t ‘feature’ something not all users will be able to see/reply to. ;)

How come some people are able to? Is it restricted to thread owners?
Chances are they had that thread in their bio before the changes were made to where you can’t add those topics

Just tested this in my test Discourse site…
I created a category called ‘Test’ and ‘Test2’
‘Test’ was everyone create/reply/see
‘Test2’ was TL2 and above can create/reply/see
I used a test user that was TL2 and I could feature a topic from the unrestricted ‘test’ category. When I tried again with the restricted ‘Test2’ category I reached the same error as you did above. Therefore, Like I said before categories that have certain permissions can’t be featured.
