The other day i was flying from Melbourne to Hobart in an A220-300 and in the map there are 2 lines over the Bass straight.
No AP+ or any connectivity issues.
Can someone tell we what the purpose behind these lines is?
(Flight was done in the official IF app not in the Beta app)
Maybe it’s a boundary line separating Tasmania?? (not sure why that would be there though in that case)…
It’s there in the Beta version as well…

They are State Lines according to staff post back in 2020.
But why are they only there and why do they have a gap in between them?
That’s often just how “sea boundaries” are marked.
