Hey IFC,
I love the 717-200 but it is just so hard to fly in Infinite Flight. Does someone have a tutorial, or can someone create one on how to properly fly it like how to land, takeoff, etc. If there are any, please put the link down below. If you are planning on creating one, please let me know when it will be done then put the link down below, or private message me.
Thanks!
The B717 is a very old aircraft in the Infinite Flight fleet therefore the flight physics aren’t that good. So I personally don’t think it’s more of a tutorial part on how to fly it that’s needed but rather a rework.
Yea same it is a very old plane so the physics of it will be hard for now it’s just having more flight time experience with it. I would recommend you just practice touch and goes on solo.
For takeoff, have flaps at 5 and 65% trim. Rotate at 145kts.
Your best bet when landing the 717 is to extend flaps 1, 5, 15 and 30 at an interval of 10 kts each, from 190 (1) to 160 (30). Once the ILS needle starts moving, slow down to 145kts with 60% trim. Once you hear the 50ft callout, pull the nose up and only idle the power when the main gear touches the ground.
it’s an old and terrible aircraft… a tutorial isn’t going to be nearly enough to save that tin can. definitely best avoided until a rework! but if you must, high trim and flaps on takeoff and landing are going to be helpful. high power takeoffs and approaches are also needed to keep it in the air. you’ll have to land much faster than normal for an aircraft of that size, i’ve found that around 155 knots keeps it in the air until touchdown (depends on the weight. it unfortunately tends to fall like a rock rather unpredictability.) hope this helps, but as i said, it’s best left alone until a rework
Yeah I find it very hard to fly as well
This was helpful thanks
Or if you want to you can check this
That “old and terrible” aircraft was a classic in the early days of this game, only real infinite flight’ers know how to control it ;).
