TS2 was created due to extreme server loads while school was out. Since school has gone back in session TS2 has turned into a trickle. Even on the weekends during peak times there may only be 20 people. It was a temporary solution that costs money (from what they said).
They had a reason for removing it and we should leave it like that. They can see from this thread that some people miss it and if they add it back they add it back.
Who knows, they may have had to pull it to test global. :)
