Trying to recover but got a speed violation!

Can you please change the speed violations so that we can try to recover a loss of control without a speed violation???

Hello @Kjet797, did you get an overspeed violation? As I can remember, I don’t believe this can be appealed since it is only a level 1 violation.

You know, I was on descent into KLAS a week ago, and my vertical speed was pretty steep, so I was decelerating very slowly and ended up going 265 KIAS at 10,000 ft, but didn’t receive a violation. Maybe it was because it was uncontrolled at the time?

I feel like if you manage to lose control of an aircraft in IF on TS/ES you deserve some sort of repercussion. The time period before a violation is already long enough for you to either try to recover or end the flight.

The grace period is extremely long (iirc it’s 40 seconds) and the warning is completely inhibited at 260 so you likely slid under 260 before the time was out.
