Trying To Get Creative @KDCA (6-28-25)

Hello IFC, I had an unedited photo leftover from my last spotting session at DCA so I figured I’d do something with it since the shot itself wasn’t that bad…

N177XF, an American Airlines A319-112 operating as AAL2025, coming in from Fort Lauderdale

As always, any feedback or suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated!

(Yes, I know I screwed up on the landing gear, we don’t talk about that though)

Thanks Benny, I appreciate it :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks, and I’d have to agree, the A320 series are pretty good-looking aircraft

What did I say about A319s :enraged_face::enraged_face::enraged_face:. Jk looks like we did get part 2 after all, great shot!

I see you took my advice about the contrast, it looks nice! A little less clarity would probably be advisable as it’s pretty halo-y around the gear and wings. Also, a mask on the cockpit windows making them a little darker would round it out well. @Humanguy don’t say anything about round

A319s :on_arrow::top_arrow:

Welp, this aged well… and thanks @Humanguy, I appreciate it!

I was thinking of masking them, but the A319’s windows aren’t natively tinted like, for example, the 787 or A350

They aren’t, but they still have a little bit of the raised shadow look to them. It’s not inherently an issue I just think it looks sleeker with them darkened a bit (maybe -0.2EV or something)

I’ll have to test this out the next time I edit, I sort of do think it’s weather dependent, for example—darker conditions may call for more tinted/darkened windows as opposed to sunny conditions, where it may not be needed

Amazing pic. Can you Make that too in Infinite flight too
