Trust Level 3 (regular) changes

Getting flagged isn’t usually an issue for me, it’s reading an appropriate amount of topics/posts. Yes… reading. Good call though!

I’m glad I’m still a regular at least…

I thought that only Discourse could change the trust levels requirements.

I don’t qualify. Too many flags… I’ll join the group on July 7, 2016 if I get no more flags!

Regularpocalypse 2016. Thank you, sir.

I almost had a heart attack I thought I’ll go back to member.

Oh come on! Is it really that bad?

No it’s not that bad but I just thought it would be token away.

Finally, let us rejoice

Super I will note record this for remembering when working to be regular in 98 days

Philippe, here’s what I find a punishment:

(1)The issue is not getting to be regular, but to remain one. If I travel or am busy and stay away for a week or so, I loose my regular status and it will take me 100 days to get to regular again. That’s discouraging. (2) A person may have a nightmare and take it out on forum members the next day by flagging posts unjustifiably. Worse, I can’t even see who flags my post and for what reason. An innocent comment to one person might be sensitive to another. It’s a diverse community we have here. And I have also seen people here arguing and calling each other names but they still remained regular. The flagging must be limited to mods only. (I hope I won’t be flagged for this)

Bro I haven’t 😭😭😭😭😭

There´s still the 2 week wait period before you get demoted.

Would you like to have your user name shown when someone gets their post hidden? I wouldn´t.
The reasons are: offensive, spam, off-topic and something else, each flag is reviewed by a moderator, who determine if they should take action or not.

They can´t check every post for offensive material.
Besides, I´ve seen at least two regulars who post some days, and then disappear for a long period of time, only to reappear and comment again (then rinse and repeat), that´s why (I think) they have reduced the amount of days.

As stated above, every flag is reviewed by a mod. And there´s a limited quantity of flags that a member can do. I flagged many spam posts once.

Really, it’s not effective then because I’m not the only one who went through this.

Since I’m the victim here, I would like the opportunity to respond/defend myself.

Not the victim of another persons behavior, rather victim of your own actions. If the name of the person that flagged you would be displayed, fights would break out.

If you think the flag isn´t fair, contact a moderator and ask them why was it hidden. Though the System PM should suffice.

Believe me, I would never do that. But then yeah, some would. You must understand that I need to know why I get flagged so I could avoid doing the same mistake (underline) again. It’s not about the person, it’s about the reason for being flagged.
