It seems this can be done with complete impunity.
Are there any rules to deter this?
Eg someone just had the call sign PP-PPP, obviously a deliberate attempt to irritate anyone else sharing the frequency, yet I didn’t hear any reprimand from ATC. This was the expert server.
Hey! I understand your frustration, but as long as a Callsign isn’t inappropriate, I don’t think anything can be done. If they have an IFC account, feel free to politely reach out 
I agree. I’ve been thinking for a long time that IF should only allow the proper callsign automatically. For example, if you select a British Airways aircraft, it should automatically assign the SPEEDBIRD callsign, etc. I’d only allow custom callsigns for small GA aircraft. All those crazy/random callsigns occasionally just drive me crazy! 
Ouch. That must be irritating to hear on th freq lol. Better to however reach out to the pilot who was with the callsign and attempt to resolve the issue.
How many realism Police are there. They select It by GA section
I use GA callsign because I hate the situation that I forget to change an airline callsign and back to home menu!
I don’t like it when someone uses GA callsigns on planes that aren’t general aviation and I don’t really like it when someone uses letters in a callsign for example Cedar Jet 772JI or Anatolian 001GR

Fun fact: PP-PPP is a real registration on a GA aircraft. In short: If it flies in real life I’m sure it’s allowed to fly on the expert server

It looks like it’s gonna collide with an A330 even tho the A330 is holding short I think but it still looks like they’re taking off at the same time
The worst I’ve encountered are those that put 67 I know it already exists but when it’s to put it on speedbird A380s I understand directly that it’s false and it’s quite rented…

Annoying callsigns… Idk about PPP-PP but I am annoyed by Jetblue 1524 ‘Super’ A320s or Southwest 737 “Super” on “Expert” 
or the opposite: “Heavy” A380s…
Letters in a CS, like Speedbird 31AL are absolutely common irl but I agree, sometimes these callsigns Sound awful
