Good morning or should I say, Bonjour from Paris, France! 🇫🇷 and after a wonderful stay I definitely see why so many people are obsessed with this city, the sights are amazing, the food is great, the weather is great, public transport is sufficient which saved us a lot of money instead of needing to rent a car or call in Ubers every few minutes and shockingly for me at least, most of the locals were really nice they greeted us very positively and even told us what places we should avoid to not waste time and more importantly not get targeted for theft which is unfortunately common in a lot of these touristy places and every Parisian seemed proud of their city. Go down a few hundred miles south you will find yourself in the country of Spain 🇪🇸 more specifically in the city of Barcelona where I haven’t to yet but from what I’ve seen online, the locals are not big fans of tourists with some even painting signs saying “tourists go home” or something like that which is quite unfortunate that they don’t feel honored like the Parisians do but that’s all I gotta say about Paris. Now it’s time to begin the long journey back to Miami 🏝️😎 once again we will be flying British Airways Club Europe but on their shorter Airbus A319 this time but after a quick train ride, we have made to Paris Charles de Gualle airports terminal 2C where British Airways operates out of and the main check in line looked HORRENDOUS but luckily as club Europe passengers we got an exclusive line for ourselves which got us done with that pretty quickly unfortunately CDG does not have a fast track security for us like we had back in London and the lines LOOKED long but really too long and we were through in like 20-25 minutes. I’m a big fan of the architecture of majority of European airports CDG included, I can tell that Groupe ADP the people who run CDG and every other airport in the Paris area really wanted this place to appeal to tourists and it shows! BA does offer a lounge here at CDG but unfortunately it’s in terminal 2B which isn’t connected airside to 2C so no lounge for us today and we won’t even have time to relax in one in LHR since our connection involves a terminal change. So we simply walked around and checked out the many duty free stores in the departures hall before making our way to the gate.
FLIGHT INFO
Origin: Paris Charles de Gualle 🇫🇷 (LFPG)
Destination: London Heathrow 🇬🇧 (EGLL)
Flight Time: 0:37
Airbus A319-100 (British Airways)
Server: Expert
This mornings ride to the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 will be G-DBCJ a January 2007 built Airbus A319 who first began its life with British Midland before joining the BA family in August 2012 and will be celebrating its special 18th birthday soon. One perk we do keep no matter where we are is priority boarding which they are calling for right now so let’s get onboard this plane!
British Airways has 2 types of A319s in its fleet, their legacy A319s which have 143 seats in total and the ex British Midland A319s like the one in on right now which has en extra seat making a total of 144. They are all economy seats in the typical 3-3 configuration and the seats inside these planes are Recaro BL3250 seats, the first 8 rows are sold as club Europe where we I’ll be in this morning and the only difference is that the middle seat is blocked you don’t even get any extra legroom which I just find ridiculous. My seat will be 2F this morning but instead of my parents being behind me, they will simply be across in 2A and C this time. Since I don’t really have anything else to say let’s just pushback and make our way across the airport to CDGs Runway 27L for take off!
Bye bye, France! 🇫🇷
As I’m sitting on the right side on a westbound departure from CDG, Paris will unfortunately not be on my side of the plane but my parents did get to see it and sent me this picture of Paris as we climb out and make our way north heading towards London!
Our route was very straightforward forward, we took off heading west before turning directly to the north to cross the English Channel before heading more to the west again to fly into Heathrow, we’d be cruising at a mere 20,000ft for another short hop to London. Nothing really to highlight expert a view of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, France 🇫🇷 a city on the coast of the English Channel which you can see down below!
After a quick few minutes, we have crossed the channel and here we can see both the UK 🇬🇧 and France 🇫🇷 in the same picture and maybe even Belgium? 🇧🇪 it amazes me how close the 2 countries really are kind of reminding me of the Bahamas 🇧🇸 and Florida 🏝️🍊🐊 but it’s soon time to begin the descent into Heathrow.
Our approach would bring us heading northwest towards the city before turning right above central London towards LHRs RWY 27L and I did not miss the view of London like I did previously and seeing it like this is much better than on base for the runway and once again, off in the distance is London City Airport!
After the very pleasant view over London, we are now on final for LHRs RWY 27L it’s pretty fitting how we are using 27L for both take off from CDG and landing in Heathrow. 😅
Soon enough, we cruised right above the world famous Myrtle Avenue and came in to land, TOUCHDOWN! Welcome back to the iconic London Heathrow airport. This was once again, a pretty average flight with nothing really to highlight it was short and simple but not having a to deal with 2 people in the middle and aisle is definitely a plus of club Europe and the ground experience is amazing especially when departing from London but for a short flight like this it’s pretty much a waste of money in my opinion so you probably wont find me back in British Airways club Europe anytime soon at least on short hops like this.
After a really entertaining and sightseeing taxi across the Heathrow, we made it to BAs home Terminal 5 where in the background you can see a British Airways Boeing 777-200ER getting ready for a flight to Newark and the right side wing and engine of another one heading to Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦 and of course the iconic tower. We won’t be hanging out here for too long since we need to make our American Airlines connection to T3 in like an hour and 10 minutes. And here is the last view of our A319 before she heads off to Munich, Germany 🇩🇪 soon. We’re off to catch the Heathrow Express to T3 now which I think will be a good time to end it, thanks for joining me on this club Europe hop on British Airways A319 from Paris-CDG, France 🇫🇷 to London Heathrow, UK 🇬🇧 Stay tuned for tomorrow if we make this connection and see how American Airlines flagship business is on an all day time transatlantic and as always between now and the next time, see you in the sky! 😉👋
