Good morning and happy New Year’s Eve everybody from Toronto, Canada! 🇨🇦 I am currently at a hotel near Pearson Airport right as we all decided to stay near the airport for our final night rather than driving all the way back to Keswick and spending another night there, we said goodbye to the folks we were with during our time in Ontario yesterday and thanked them for the house we had in the area just to avoid paying for hotels every step of the way. At first I felt like it was kind of dumb but now I fully understand the logic of saving Toronto for the last day just to get more things done like Niagara Falls, the snowy hills, Quebec City and Montreal and I do feel like the wait was worth it, Toronto was a very nice city with some friendly people and had a really good subway system which is always nice to see in big cities were parking can be an issue. But it was time to leave and head back to Miami 🏝️😎 today we will be flying once again on American Airlines Airbus A319 in main cabin which should be fun again, American uses terminal 3 at Pearson airport which is a very special terminal as it is the only one that has US 🇺🇸 departures so every passenger in this terminal will be flying to some American destination. I had already checked in online but still had to make the line since I had 2 bags to drop off since we are taking all our belongings now compared to small backpacks the last time we were here. It wasn’t long at all and now it was time for security which did take quite a bit of time, not only was the process slow but I was pulled aside and had my backpack checked so we aren’t off to the best start. Terminal 3 is nicknamed the “transborder terminal” and why is that? Well after the security check we see immigration but not for Canada 🇨🇦 the US 🇺🇸actually. Toronto, Montreal. A few other Canadian cities, Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪 Bermuda 🇧🇲 and Abu Dhabi, UAE 🇦🇪 I believe all have these pre clearance facilities were you clear customs and immigration formalities prior to departure and upon landing in the US 🇺🇸 you leave as you were getting off a domestic flight. Now across the security and pre clearance legally now in US, we find ourselves in the departures hall which is alright looking nothing compared to Air Canada’s terminal they use for even their domestic flights across the county but it still had a good amount of food options around and since the first thing we ate in Canada 🇨🇦 was Tim Horton’s, it was fitting that the last thing we’d eat would be Tim Horton’s once again I got a chocolate glazed donut 🍩 along with an ice coffee ☕️ and I was very pleased with it I wish they’d come down to Florida 🏝️🐊🍊 but we have Dunkin’ I guess? We started making our way to the gate area as soon as our aircraft had just landed so let’s get over there now!

Fresh from the 305 🏝️😎 is N701UW an Airbus A319 delivered to US Airways in October 1998 and stayed with them until December 2013 when they were transferred over to American. In 2004, this aircraft was painted to have the star alliance livery which US Airways was a part of and AA decided to not paint it with a one world livery for some reason but they do themselves I’m not gonna whine about it. I was once again able to board very early on thanks to my status and the couple in front of me were already dressed for the beach, if this doesn’t scream snowbird I don’t know what will. 😂
This A319 has the same configuration as the one I flew in from MIA on so I won’t get into any specifics, in fact I’m back in the seat I was when I flew here 20F. It’s pretty similar to how it was on the flight here. This time I’m sitting next to 2 of my cousins with one of them being the kid from the incident we had with the Wi-Fi on the first flight. Hope he doesn’t freak out this time around. But we soon shut the door and made the long way over to YYZs runway 5 for take off!
Bye bye, Canada! 🇨🇦
Last view over Toronto with a good angle of downtown and Billy Bishop airport down below but now it’s time to fly south with the snowbirds.
Our route will pretty much have us go south over both Lake Ontario and Eire before flying directly by major cities like Pittsburgh and Charlotte before heading out over the Atlantic for a bit before hugging the space coast of Florida before beginning the descent over the treasure coast and eventually hitting the 305 🏝️😎 we would be cruising at an altitude of 34,000ft and down below is the coast of Lake Erie next to a city fittingly called Erie. The crew soon began their cabin service serving mini pretzels this afternoon rather than biscoffs and all 3 of us got cokes for our drinks and we were really happy with it especially after 3 flights of not having any service but that doesn’t mean our hunger situation is a whole lot better as we’d still arrive home pretty hungry our crew were also extremely friendly and really happy they got the chance to layover in Miami 🏝️😎 tonight for the countdown so 5 stars for them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To pass the time me and my cousin had a little competition on Angry Birds World Tour a game available on our IFE screens and I even got my 3 friends sitting in the row ahead to join us and at this point you can make the assumption that I never bothered with the Wi-Fi like I always do.
I was so distracted with our little competition that I completely missed Pittsburgh out the window and once I finally looked out of it after an hour I saw Charlotte with a good view over CLT airport. Americans 2nd largest hub 🥈 beating MIA but still behind DFW and it’s not even close.
At this point, we called off the competition and the winner 🥇 was my friend from Ocala who we will simply refer to Big D so congratulations buddy! I got up and took a trip to the lavatory before coming back and getting the announcement it was for descent, we’d basically fly along the coast passing by West Palm Beach 🏝️🏌️flying past the coast by Delray Beach and simply flying parallel with it throughout the rest of Palm Beach County and Majority of Broward County before turning inland over Sunny Isles flying over North Miami and a bit of Hialeah before making a 180 over the Everglades 🐊 near Krome Ave and coming to land on MIAs RWY 12 and here is a pretty good view over Pompano Beach in the foreground along with Coral Springs and the Everglades in the background.
After turn inland into Dade we find ourselves on final above the Trump National golf course in Doral owned by said person. I don’t know why it’s here when he lives in Maralago which is up in West Palm but oh well, let’s just ignore that and continue our approach for RWY 12!
TOUCHDOWN! Welcome back to Miami 🏝️😎 and the end of not only this trip to Canada 🇨🇦 but the year of 2024 as a whole, I set a goal for this year to visit new places only and forget about every other place unless it was a special occasion and I really had a fun time with this goal we visited places like Eagle County, Tenerife, Canary Islands 🇮🇨 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷 Santiago and Easter Island, Chile 🇨🇱 Honolulu and Hilo, Hawaii 🏝️🌺🐢 Dubai, UAE 🇦🇪 Male, Maldives 🇲🇻 Recife, Brazil 🇧🇷 Nadi, Fiji 🇫🇯 Bermuda 🇧🇲 Lima, Peru 🇵🇪 Atlantic City, Paris, France 🇫🇷 and now Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City, Canada 🇨🇦 I do know I did revisit to places this year but they all had a special reason behind it and as for Canada I did go pre pandemic but that was a long time ago and barely remembered anything so this trip felt brand new to me, American did a great job today with their amazing interior, great IFE system and most importantly the friendly crew and I hope they enjoy their stay tonight in the best city on the east coast or maybe even the entire country. AAs A319s are amazing aircraft and I’m happy I get the chance to fly one again for the first trip of 2025 more on that later.
Welcome back to Miami Intl Airport’s north terminal concourse D more specifically gate D6 near the gate that started this trip, and thanks to the pre clearance we did back in Toronto, we were able to leave the airport right away well of course after waiting for our bags. Our aircraft will soon head up to Raleigh-Durham before coming back to MIA next year. And speaking of A319s and next year, my first 2025 adventure will once again begin with skiing ⛷️ like it did this year but in a new destination much more obscure than Eagle County here’s a small hint, the animal of the state that it is located in starts with a B that’s all I’m gonna say for now 😅 we are all now on our way to a farm in Loxahatchee where we will await the new year. That will be it regarding my flight on American Airlines Airbus A319 from Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 to Miami 🏝️😎 and my 2024 travels, stay tuned for the first part of my new skiing ⛷️ adventure and as always between now and the next, see you in the sky and happy new year! 😉👋🎊
