Once again, like all my other Screenshots and Videos topics of the month so far, this will count as day 20 of my daily picture advent calendar
Im pretty sure all of us that live in Florida 🏝️🐊🍊 California 🌴🌊🐻 Texas or any other state that’s known for its warm weather are aware of the term “snow bird” for those who are from up north and recently came down here well congratulations, your one of them. But a snow bird basically is someone who comes down from colder regions to warmer regions during the winter to go to the beach and do some other outdoor activities till things warm up back home. This morning however, we will do the OPPOSITE of these snowbirds and fly INTO the cold, today I am off to Canada 🇨🇦 a place which I haven’t been to post pandemic and I’m quite curious to see what Canada in the year 2024 is like and once again I will not be going alone since just like last years trip to Cali, Colombia 🇨🇴 my entire family and a few other close friends will come along with us today. We’ll just be covering the first part of the trip today flying from Miami 🏝️😎 to Toronto on American Airlines in their pretty cozy Airbus A319 I’m glad you’ll be joining us this early morning. It is currently 5AM right now and the airport is somewhat packed since it’s the Friday before Christmas 🎄 and everybody is trying to fly out to see their friends the family like us who have a few flying living a bit outside of Toronto. Dropping off my bag did take some time thanks to people going on pretty long vacations and thus needing a lot of bags, I’m not in the clear as well since I have 2 CHECKED BAGS with me which thankfully didn’t cost a ton thanks to my status with AA. Security did also take some time even with pre check which once again I’m the only one with it besides one of my aunts so while everybody else was stuck waiting, me and her went to get some Cafe Versailles since it’s still pretty early in the morning and very our gate exists. Soon enough, they all showed up after they also stopped for some Coffee ☕️ and pretty much hung around the gate area talking to each other while I charged up my devices and also talked to one of my close friends who came down from as far north as OCALA.

Soon enough the sun started to rise 🌅 and our aircraft soon pulled up to gate D7 after coming in from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 N772XF is a June 2003 built Airbus A319 which unlike other AA old A319s this one actually came from Frontier and was previously N920FR and only came to American in October 2018 5 years after the merger of US Airways. Since this isn’t an EX-US plane, I’m curious to see how the inside will be and looks like we’ll be checking that out right now since I have just been called to board.
All of Americans A319s have 128 seats in total with 8 first class seats made up of Webler 6850 recliners in a 2-2 configuration. Behind that are the rest of the 120 economy seats which are Recaro CL3620 seats in a 3-3 setup 24 of them being extra legroom main cabin extra seats, my seat will be 20F will is just a basic main cabin seat, everybody else is scattered all throughout the rear some have unknown seat mates, some don’t. Luckily I didn’t since I got my previously mentioned friend and my cousin which should be plenty of entertainment for the 3 hour flight up to YYZ this morning, we’re also happy to hear that we aren’t far away from the active runway so even despite our slight delay here on the ground. We should still arrive early into Toronto.
Like the captain indirectly said, today we will be having a Runway 26L departure which from gate D7 isn’t far at all and we were soon airborne!
Here is our last view over Miami 🏝️😎 as we leave the citizens and snow birds behind and head up north to where they came from.
We pretty much flew along the Everglades 🐊 and flew straight north passing by the western part of the east coast states before flying by the Great Lakes before descending into Toronto. We’d be cruising at an altitude of 34,000ft and the crew wasted no time in getting their service started which isn’t all that special on a short haul flight on a US carrier, the 3 of us all got biscoff cookies 🍪 and an orange juice for myself, apple juice for my friend and a water for my cousin. We all really enjoyed our biscoffs and as for the crew, they were really polite and patient especially since my aunt that I previously mentioned has a kid who was throwing a FIT over the lack of Wi-Fi so 5 stars for them! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this A319 is one of the few narrowbodies in Americans fleet that still contain seat back screens while majority of them had disappeared with the Thales TopSeries system being used, I took advantage of them being present and put on some Home Alone like I said I was gonna do when coming back from London, UK 🇬🇧 back in November so here we are, and it was a pretty fun time watching it again after so long especially to see that ICONIC Chicago O’Hare terminal 3 and Chrome DC-10 😍 I lied about the lack of Wi-Fi it wasn’t present but for a fee which I obviously skipped and so did my aunt which caused the tantrum in the first place. But for now I’ll sit back, relax and enjoy the movie along with that view over Kennedy Space Center @MyGoal_isNASA summon
I didn’t even bother watching another movie after that so I simply turned on the map and talked with my friend and cousin and I gotta say, it was quite a throwback to be talking this close again but it was soon time for descent, we flew heading up north towards Toronto flying by Lake Erie and Lake Ontario before flying right by downtown and the airport on right downwind turning base and coming to land on RWY 06R and here we are, passing by the famous Niagara Falls which will be our first stop tomorrow morning!
Good thing I picked a right side seat this morning as I’d get treated with this spectacular view over downtown Toronto and even Billy Bishop airport, a small airport that only sees turboprop aircraft and even the smallest and weakest of jets aren’t allowed there.
It is currently SNOWING 🌨️ on the ground in Pearson airport so naturally the visibility got worse as we got closer to touchdown!
TOUCHDOWN! Welcome to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 and as for my final word, it was also a relatively enjoyable flight especially on the entertainment side of things with my friend and cousin, great IFE and amazing wing views, the crew were very patient with all of us especially with my little cousin throwing the fit and not snapping and we can’t forget about this cozy interior which is just amazing especially since we are inside a warm cabin while outside it is pretty cold just assisting my take on this interior. I really wish AA reconsiders their choice with BYOD entertainment soon especially since United is catching up with JetBlue and Delta.
Welcome to Toronto Pearson Intl Airports Terminal 3 also known as US terminal since it contains the majority of departures to the USA 🇺🇸 for a reason which many people know but I’ll explain once we come back to the states. Passport control 🛂 here was a bit busy since there were quite a few arrivals at around noon into terminal 3 but once we were finally out it was to baggage claim which thankfully wasn’t long at all and we soon collected our bags and made our way to the rental car centres before getting some brunch at a buffet en route to some friends house Keswick, almost 2 hours away from Toronto but that doesn’t mean we will be skipping Toronto at all we are actually saving it till the very end for some reason. That is all for todays trip from Miami 🏝️😎 to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 on Americans A319 stay tuned for a flight on Christmas Day 🎄to Quebec City and as always between now and the next time, see you in the sky! 😉👋
