Hello everyone! Come with me as I fly Southwest Airlines in their last days of “normality”.
I have just arrived to St. Louis Lambert international airport! My flight, WN282 is currently on time.
I got through security nice and quick and I am going to head to Starbucks for a nice treat. Currently our aircraft, N8933Q, is en route from LAS.
I have gotten my drink and I got my gate, E4, just in time to see my arriving aircraft land.
Welcome to STL N8933Q. Now we just have to wait for everyone to deplane and then we will board. Today my boarding position is A5 and I am hoping to get seat 4A!
Boarding has started, let’s see what seat I get!
I got lucky and snagged 4A. The flight attendant just announced that this flight will go with 50 empty seats, hoping for an empty middle!
We have pushed back a nice 3 minutes early and are heading to the runway. Some showers have rolled into the area and it’s looking like it’s going to be a nice and rainy departure. My favorite!
Look at us soar out of St. Louis, bye for now!
After a nice takeoff it’s still a bumpy climb at the moment. Also, it’s looking like the cabin crew may not be able to do a service. We will just have to see if this turbulence clears up with enough time during cruise.
We reached our cruising altitude of 36,000 feet. Lucky for me, they have started service, I ordered a Dr. Pepper of course.
I soon got my Dr. Pepper along with FOUR packets of the Maui Monk pretzels that were THROWN at me! I love the enthusiasm. Also, props to the flight attendants for serving the whole cabin in just 10 minutes!
They just came through with trash and we have started our descent into Dallas! However, it is once again super bumpy with storms in between us and DAL. The flight attendants prepared the cabin before descent even started!
Looks like the storms wont be in DAL, as the pilots inform us that there will be clear skies when we touch down!
As we fly through some nice rain, I forgot to mention something. Today we have a trainee flight attendant who is onboard. She helped with the safety briefing and service, and is heading to DAL to graduate and become a flight attendant! Congratulations to her and best of luck!
As we get closer the turbulence weakens and the sky clears up.
Here we are turning into final for runway 13L.
Anddddddd… touchdown! Welcome to Dallas Love Field! I really did enjoy my flight today. From the amazing rainy departure, to the pilots finding smooth airspace to be able to have a service. All the way to the service itself! Overall, I had an amazing experience today, and love the Max!
Today we went into gate 8, arriving 9 minutes early. This aircraft will head to Midland Odessa before shutting down for the night! I currently don’t have any more Southwest flights booked, but will definitely keep and eye out in the future!

Overall I rate southwest a solid 8/10. Only thing I would appreciate would be 2 or 3 snack options, rather than 1. It’s always good to have a few options, rather than having no clue as to what it could be on any given flight.
Did you enjoy reading this, and would you like to see more trip reports in the future?

Thank you for coming along with me today, have an amazing rest of your day!
