Good morning from Singapore Changi Airport! On the 31st of May, I flew SQ318 from SIN to LHR. SQ competes with BA and QF on this route, with all three airlines deploying A380s regularly, and SQ deploying B77Ws in addition to TWO A380 flights daily. Needless to say, this is a very busy route, and let’s begin with today’s trip report!
Check-in was fast, so we were able to head to Jewel!
First impressions: decent width and generous legroom and padding. This will be a good flight.

As for the toilet, it was very clean and spacious.
The IFE screen was large and responsive. We also had a remote which is to be used when reclined, i suppose. On this flight, I watched Avatar 3 (weak storyline but as usual amazing VFX) and Mercy (convoluted plot but an enjoyable storyline, i don’t get the hate)
Lunch was served near the Nicobar and Andaman Islands. The main was chicken in gravy, mash and steamed carrots and pumpkin. Not bad at all. Usually I hate cold savoury food, especially meat, but the cold prawns with barley and olive oil dressing wasn’t bad. I didn’t like it but also not as bad as I expected. The cake was delicious, very moist and chocolatey.

Dinner was served near the Caspian Sea Coast of Turkmenistan- fish in tomato sauce, mashed potatoes and beans with carrots. The fish was honestly amazing. As for the sides, the duck and long beans were good, and I liked the mango sago pudding.

Waiting for the taxi to take us to the hotel. This was a great flight- SQ service was peak, the seat was comfortable enough for me to stay awake almost the whole flight and not get tired, and the overall onboard experience was great. Sorry for the ahh resolution on some of these pics- these are screenshots from my YT video- which I strongly advise you to check out!!!
