Trip Report: Butter575 on Ryanair!

Hello everyone!

Today I had a chance to fly on the airline notorious mainly for its bad landings, Ryanair! I have been very excited about this flight for months because I wanted to see if the all the bad things about this airline are actually true. Here is a full flight review of my experience on Ryanair from Barcelona to Trieste.

The journey began fairly smoothly with an expected on time departure. Boarding process also went very smooth and soon enough, I was on board!

For this flight, I was sitting in seat 3F. The seats had ample legroom however there was no recline. The seat in general also wasn’t the most comfortable however it is what you would normally expect on a low cost carrier.

We pushed back right on time and shortly after began a 10 minute taxi to the other end of BCN. After a few minutes of waiting in the takeoff queue, we were airborne!

A little less than halfway through the flight, the cabin crew began to start service. There was a large variety of recognizable drinks and snacks however I decided not to get anything.

The restroom was a normal restroom like any other you would find on an aircraft. One thing that was really frustrating was that the toilet seat would not stay up.

The Landing…

Perhaps the one thing that Ryanair is most well known for is their hard landings. Our arrival into Trieste was fairly bumpy with a few drops here and there. Here is a link of our landing so you guys can decide how the landing really was.

In my opinion, the landing was somewhat harder than a normal landing however I believe there were some winds which could’ve played a factor into amfhe more firm landing.

Overall Review:

Topic Rating
Seat: 6/10
Food: 4/10
Service: 10/10
Landing: 6/10
Total: 26/40

I mean, they’re low cost, and you’re not paying for a 5 star experience. It’s not that bad I bet.

Yeah it really wasn’t as bad as they say it is

What a cool opportunity/flight! The landing was expected imo, though I’ve been on a jetblue flight that had a landing about that hard, and let’s just say that in that landing video, Ryanair did better then I thought 😭

I thought Ryanair doesn’t use Jet Bridges?

Anyways besides that hope you had a good trip Butter! I’m flying out of Palm Springs today and heading home :)

Ryanair with a jetbridge is quite something. I believe they usually park at cheaper remote stands.

Nah, it’s because it’s Ryanair.

For sure. I’m pretty sure they have built in airstairs into their fleet.

They do, I exited off of them

You didn’t even eat anything yet you gave a rating on the food 😆

I gave the rating because of the variety, plus I already know what most of them taste like anyways

honestly thought it would be worse…

One lucky guy, no delay happened fair play

We were almost going to be delayed an hour however there was an aircraft swap which made the flight still be on time
