Hi, I just Got an idea… I Think It’s a Good Idea to add Trees and Houses/buildings Around the Airport like the one on FSX

This gen. mobile devices dont have enough RAM or Processing power to handle complex structures like buildings and Trees. Moreover, this would create lag on high end devices too :)

@dush19 is right! The GPU and CPU Combination on current gen mobile devices couldn’t handle 3D Scenery…Just Yet…But the capabilities of mobile devices are getting better over time though! They have done experiments with this type of thing so it will come one day as I imagine it is in the pipeline!

The forum has almost grown too much for the mods to read. Yes, there are other mods, but most of them really have other stuff to do. So yes, please search the forum before making other topics. Although I did not find another topic that suggests these features. I’m not going to close a topic before I post the hyperlink to a topic or at least find another topic. Thanks for helping out guys!

However. (Don’t kill me, I played the following game before I knew IF existed) X-Plane HDEF-4G had decent 3D buildings around the airports. The processing power of say, and I-pad, may not be able to cope with graphics from games such as FSX, X-Plane 10 or Pr3pared, but it may be able to cope with slightly less detailed 3D structures.

Yep, An iPad probably would be able to deal with 3D Structures that are a lot less deatiled!
This is since the mobile devices devices are getting more powerful in terms of their CPU/GPU Combo, paticuarly those made by Apple which get better as every year goes by!
However there are certain devices made by different companies/manufacturers that struggle when Graphics settings are high now…Never mind with 3D,Quality Rendered Scenery!
The fact that it is device-dependent probably makes it very hard to ship over several platforms!
I am confident that will come one day though, The Devs have said it’s in the pipeline-It’s just with things like this lots can unexpectedly pop up and cause issues/delay progress! For example something probably when wrong woth landing smoke even though that seemed to be pretty much feature ready!
All in all, you make a good point though,You’re right!
