I’ve had the pleasure of working with @Transport_Hub over the last few hours to get all of his answers to your wonderful questions! I hope that everyone enjoys reading.

If you asked a question - thank you! If your question was chosen, your name is in parenthesis next to it. Some questions have been edited for length or content.

Thank you for reading, and keep an eye on IFCI for future interviews!

The Interview!

  1. How has Singapore Virtual changed you as a person, and what’s something you learned from it? (@Cbro4)

The Short Answer: Singapore Virtual has taught me how to be a leader.
The Long Answer: Singapore Virtual has taught me many things, the most important of many being how to be a leader. Being the CEO means being in charge of the VA. I, essentially, am the face of this virtual airline so it’s up to me to lead the VA in the right direction. Of course, none of this is possible without the wonderful staff over at SVA (@AndrewWu, @TwinsRock88, @NorAviator97, @IAmTheFuzz) however I am the one in charge of this “project”. This has taught me to take into consideration their thoughts and opinions rather than just bossing them around all day so the VA moves forwards and not backwards.

  1. What is a “transport hub”? Why did you choose that for your IFC name? (@HiFlyer)

The Short Answer: Used “Transport Hub” because it was my old YouTube Channel Name.
The Long Answer: According to Google Dictionary, a “transport hub” (also “transport” interchange) is a place where passengers and cargo are exchanged between vehicles or between “transport” modes, including trains, rapid transit systems, buses, trams, and ferries slips.

In all seriousness though, my name is “Transport Hub” because back when I was a young kiddo, I named my YouTube Channel “Transport Hub”. I chose that name because I used to post videos about the three modes of transportation that fascinated me the most - buses, trains, and planes. I just stuck to that name and, hence, now, my IFC name is “Transport Hub”.

  1. What’s your favorite part about IFC, and how has IFC changed you as a person? (@hi15td)

The Short Answer: Helping out new members & having meaningful discussions with others.
The Long Answer: If I’m being completely honest, a major factor in my decision to join Infinite Flight over other mobile flight simulator apps was the community. My favorite part about the Infinite Flight Community is helping out new members and being a model in leading them in the right direction. I also appreciate the meaningful discussions fellow members have with others, and the complete Infinite Flight experience would not be complete without this amazing community. The IFC specifically hasn’t changed me as a person that much, but the whole idea of interacting with many people who have a passion for aviation is really cool.

  1. On a scale of 1-10, how upset are you about Singapore [lacking HD scenery]? (@AsternAviation)

The Short Answer: Very Upset
The Long Answer: As many people like @mwe2187 & @AsternAviation know, Singapore is

S till
V ery
A bsent
of terrain

When ranked, I’d say I am very upset but I know that FDS is working hard to get Southeast Asia scenery up to their top notch standards. 😊

  1. Imagine you’re sitting in a bar together with two persons… One of whom is a close friend of yours and the other one is a person you truly hate.
    You guys are starting a debate. You realize that you absolutely disagree with your friend while the other guy has some good arguments. Who do you side with? The friend you disagree with, or the person you hate who has a good point?
    (@Marc)

Short Answer: The Person I Hate
Long Answer: Ah, a question by @Marc. Let’s see here - in this case, I would side with who I feel is right, which in this case isn’t my friend. It all boils down to personal preference because at the end of the day, what you think in a debate is only an opinion.

  1. Who on the IFC do you want to meet most? (@Chris_Hoover)

Short Answer: @AndrewWu & @TwinsRock88
Long Answer: This is a tough one as there are a lot of people who I consider to be “best friends” here on the Infinite Flight Community. As a starter, I’d like to meet my very own staff (@AndrewWu & @TwinsRock88) , the loyal ones who I have spent the past 7 or so months with working on SVA day in and day out. I’d also like to meet @IAmTheFuzz for reasons I cannot disclose (by request).

A few other people who are interesting to say the least are:
@Chris_Hoover
@Balloonchaser
@N975DB
@RTG113
and many more! (no I don’t want to meet you Panda 😜)

With all this said, however, if you are in New York City, send me a message and we can surely meet up!

P.S. Don’t be @ewanfleming and tell me you’re in NYC the night you’re leaving.

  1. What is your most embarrassing moment in Infinite Flight? (@Dylan_M)

Need not say more 😬

  1. What is your favorite virtual airline besides [Singapore Virtual]? (@anon87102400)

Short Answer: DLVA & VB
Long Answer: I won’t get picky here, but Singapore Virtual is obviously the best VA out there haha.

A couple of other VAs I am proud to be in are DLVA, run by @mwe2187, and virtualBlue, run by @FBWFTW.
There are a plethora of great VAs out there, however, the aforementioned VAs are just based on personal experience.

  1. Why do you like buses so much? (@Adam_Williams)

Short Answer: I live in NYC.
Long Answer: Every since my childhood, I have been fascinated with three modes of transportation: buses, trains, and planes. I live in New York City and am surrounded by the transport system. NYC quite literally runs on the MTA (our transportation network). If the MTA were to stop running, NYC would stop dead in its tracks. Not quite sure how I got into buses so much but I have a feeling that me living in NY has had a huge influence on such.

  1. (+1 bonus) Since it’s the festival season here in India, do/did you burst crackers?
    What is your record for being stuck in a traffic jam in India?
    (@dush19)

Short Answer: Yes, I burst some crackers; 1 hour 45 minutes to travel 15 kilometers
Long Answer: Just to get some variety in here, I decided to answer your question Dush because you’re Dush. For Diwali, yes we lit about 108 diyas and burst some firecrackers out in my backyard.

NOTE: We got permission from the NYPD to do so.

In terms of traffic, it took me 1 hour 45 minutes back in February to get from a town called Malleshwaram to HSR Layout in Bengaluru covering a distance of about 15 kilometers.
