Hello community, I have a couple questions I hope you can answer.
1: Are there any requirements needed to have a tracking thread.
2: I have been watching ATC videos, but found nothing on transitions. Can anyone link a video or tell me what they mean?
3: This is probably a weird one. Both me and my father have IF live accounts, and what I would like to know is if it would be against the rules if, say I used my account for Ground/Tower, and used his for Approach/Departure?
I still don’t quite understand transitions. Why would a pilot request it?
Thank you. It has helped.
Question 3 is probably for the mods to answer.
It’s not against the rules at all, you are both using different IF accounts on two different devices. Use it as an advantage because you can talk to each other about how you want arrivals and departures to go.
I meant I would use both accounts when operating ATC.
I’m pretty sure anyone can open one. ATC training or not.
Well I still found this.
We allow for tracking threads for your ATC training to be published. Please refrain from doing these unless you are in the process of joining the official IFATC team to control the expert server.
Only IFATC Supervisors are permitted to open ground, tower and radar simultaneously. You will not be allowed to open TG on one device and radar on the other if you get into IFATC. I hope this answers your third question.
And it wouldn’t be fun to be all ATC positions because stress builds up after a while.
Alright, thank you. I don’t have the time to become IFATC. I will simply have to operate and hope I get traffic.
I suppose you could do that if you’ll be on training server, but I imagine it would get quite hard after traffic starts building up. :)
Just to be clear, I assume you mean use two accounts for ATC on TS?
Correct. I wish you luck in your training!
